Your Right to Deletion

Under GDPR, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We make this easy to do directly from the App.

How to Delete Your Account In-App

To delete your account and personal data: 1. Open the App and go to Account (bottom navigation) 2. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account" 3. Confirm the deletion in the prompt Your account will be scheduled for deletion and permanently removed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation once deletion is complete.

Effect on Linked Family Users

When a parent account is deleted, all linked family devices will immediately lose access to the subscription and premium content. Linked device data associated with the family account will also be removed as part of the deletion process. Family members using linked devices do not hold separate accounts and cannot independently request data deletion — this must be done by the parent account holder.

What Gets Deleted

Account deletion removes: - Your email address and display name - Your reading history and favourites - Your session tokens - Your marketing consent records - Family account link data (linked device identifiers) We may retain certain records for a limited period where required by law (for example, billing records for tax purposes are retained as required by Finnish accounting law).

Cancel Before Deleting

Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Please cancel your subscription through Google Play or the App Store (whichever you used to subscribe) before or after deleting your account. When the subscription ends, all linked family users will also lose access. See the Subscription & Purchase Terms for cancellation instructions.

Request by Email

If you are unable to delete your account in the App, you may submit a deletion request by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

Data Export Before Deletion

Before deleting your account, you can download a copy of all your data by going to Account → Export My Data. This provides a JSON file with all personal data we hold about you, in accordance with your GDPR data portability right.
